2. What is the shelf life of your Ghirardelli Brownie Mixes and how should I store them?

We recommend storing flour mixes in a cool (70°F or below), dry environment. For best flavor and quality, it is best to use our brownie mixes within the timeframes recommended below. Our brownie mixes do not contain any perishable ingredients.

3. What is the best way to store my brownies after they have been baked?

Allow brownies to cool completely after baking and store in an airtight container or cover with plastic wrap. Keep at room temperature for about three days, or freeze for up to three months.

4. How can I tell when the brownies are done?

Ghirardelli brownies are so thick and moist that a toothpick method for determining doneness is not an accurate indication. Time and temperature are the key to proper doneness. Make sure your oven temperature is correct, and bake according to the time listed on the package. They may appear slightly underbaked just out of the oven but will continue to cook as they cool.

5. Do Ghirardelli brownies contain caffeine?

Caffeine is naturally present in our brownie mixes in small amounts from the chocolate. There is an estimated 15-18 mg of caffeine in one 2-inch brownie. As a comparison, a typical cup of coffee contains approximately 60-80 mg caffeine.
